He has suffered illnesses for so long  and is now at the stage where his quality of life is being destroyed. He will not get better.  I know one day,  I will lose him.  If I could,  I would take his place.  But I know sadly, that is not possible. All I can give him is my love, but even that seems so insignificant and so futile. But It is all I have. I made a promise to never leave his side.
